SEH-A is offering several summer virtual internships (unpaid). Students can also earn high school credit in Career Choices if the online coursework is completed. Check out the flyer. It’s open to all Clark County students.
Students must be 16+ to participate. Students should have a resume and can apply online. If your student needs help creating a resume, contact the high school’s Career Specialist.
There are three internships (and they may be accepting up to 9 students):
- Chemical safety training working with safety department—Learn about current trainings, create and test new trainings on chemicals used on site
- Forklift training—develop a forklift obstacle course including researching forklift usage, design a forklift obstacle course and work with engineer to create a 3D model using software; work with team on site to create and test obstacle course
- Data/computer science—work with computer engineer on statistical process control project
Deadline to apply: May 31, 2021
Interviews : June 1 – 10th
Orientation: June 22& 23 from 1 to 3PM
It’s a virtual internship and students will be assigned to a mentor. That schedule will be determined by the student and the mentor.
Students must be able to attend weekly virtual Wednesday meetings from 1-2 PM where they work as a group on job readiness skills.
