Orchestra teacher Ann Medellin was elected to the National Association for Music Education’s Northwest Region Representative for the Council of Music Program Leaders.
Council representatives create and support quality music learning environments for all children. The group works with local, state and national music education leaders to promote the music curriculum and assessments that prepare music students for careers in the 21st century.
The appointment is a two-year term, during which Medellin will work to further excellence in music education.
