Students in WA state now have more options to meet graduation requirements.

Starting with the Class of 2020, students now have several pathway options to meet the graduation requirement (opposed to the prior testing requirement). This allows students greater flexibility and more options to explore career pathways.

One of those pathways is for students to meet the standard on the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery).  The ASVAB is an aptitude test that estimates performance in academic and vocational endeavors (in both civilian and military worlds of work).  Test results are NOT released to Recruiting Services without parental permission. Sample tests and more information can be found at https://www.asvabprogram.com/student.

The ASVAB is offered at our high schools’ Career Centers several times throughout the year. Dates can be found on our vps.cte Facebook page under Events (along with other career related events).
