A big big thank you!
Eighteen VSAA dancers attended the National High School Dance Festival at Point Park College in Pittsburgh. From March 1-5, students attended master classes, auditioned for summer study and
college scholarships, viewed the outstanding dances from other high school programs around the country, and performed. A dance created by guest artist Andrea Parson, “Wolfstory,” was chosen
through an adjudication process to be performed at the festival. VSAA dance teacher Jackie Sacks received an award for Outstanding Service in the field of dance education at the festival.
The fundraising efforts through the VSAA Arts Booster Club made travel to the festival possible. Shine Bright, flower and candy sales, and an auction provided funds needed to support transportation, adjudication fees, and several meals for students. Students, staff, and parents are so very grateful!
